Chlorophyll captures the photons from sunlight which is used to split water molecules. The hydrogen from the water combines with the $CO_{2}$ in the Calvin cycle to make $C_{6}H_{12}O_{6}$ .

Calvin Cycle – following the carbon atoms

When 2 PGAL meet in cytoplasm, they form $C_{6}H_{12}O_{6}$ . Need many rotations to make 1 glucose.
