Graph 3x-y=2 and y=-x+1 to see where they intersect.

y=mx+b
m -> Slope
b -> y-intercept

1.) Put equations into y=mx+b form
$3x-y=2$
$-3x \quad -3x$

$-y=2-3x$

$-1 \quad -1$
$y=3x-2$

$m_1=3$
$b_1=-2 \rightarrow (0,-2)$
$y=-x+1 \quad m_2=-1$
$b_2=1 \rightarrow (0,1)$
