What is the perimeter and area of the given triangle?

 

 

Perimeter:  3\ in\ +\ 4\ in\ +\ 5\ in\ =\ 12\ in

Area:  \frac{1}{2}bh=\frac{1}{2}(4)(3)=6\ in^{2}

 

 

 

  • Surface area is the amount of area exposed to the surroundings of a 3D object.
  • Volume is the amount of space a 3D object fills.

2 – 3 × 4 sides

A=L\timesW=3\times4=12\ in^{2}\times2=24\ in^{2}

16\ in^{2}\ \times\ 12\ in^{2}\ \times\ 24\ in^{2}=52\ in^{2}

Volume:

V=L\times W\times H

V=2\ in\times\ 3\ in\times\ 4\ in=24\ in^{3}
