Determining Distance Between Pilot Coordinates

Find the length of the three sides of the triangle with vertices of (2, 3), (0, 0), (8, -1).

Distance formula → d=\sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2}+(y_{2}-y_{1})^{2}}

Side between (2, 3) and (0, 0)

d=\sqrt{(2-0)^{2}+(3-0)^{2}}=\sqrt{4+9}=\sqrt{13}

Side between (8, -1) and (0, 0)

d=\sqrt{(8-0)^{2}+(-1-0)^{2}}=\sqrt{64+1}=\sqrt{65}

Side between (8, -1) and (2, 3)

d=\sqrt{(8-2)^{2}+(-1-3)^{2}}=\sqrt{36+16}=\sqrt{52}
