usually show parts of a whole
not used to show change overtime
Example: percentage results
Line Graphs
(x-y plots)
can be used to track change over time
used to compare the relationship between 2 things
if both variables increasing → positive relationship
if both variables decreasing → negative relationship
Bar Graphs
show large changes over time
compare things between different groups
Example: voting results
