Find the positions of the following number son a number line:

  • 3.5,\ -4,\ 1\frac{5}{6},\ 20%

3.5\ \Rightarrow\ \frac{1}{2}=0.5,\ halfway\ between\ 3\ and\ 4

1\frac{5}{6}\ \Rightarrow\ \frac{5}{6}\ is\ just\ a\ little\ less\ than\ \frac{6}{6}\rightarrow(1)\ so\ 1\frac{5}{6}\ is\ a\ little\ less\ than\ 2

20\%=\frac{20}{100}=0.2\ and\ this\ is\ between\ 0\ and\ \frac{1}{2}
